Pastor Dale gives a brief history of our relationship with the Burundian Refugees in the Katumba Refugee Camp.

NHMI President Dale Scholten interviews Founder Herb Stewart about how our bore well ministry in India began.

60,000 Congolese refugees live in the Nyargusu Refugee Camp.  New Harvest Ministries International has been blessed to build three churches for these beautiful children of God.  This is how one of these churches celebrated Pentecost Sunday this year.

Pastor Laban’s church in Tanzania held Children’s Day in January of 2020 to celebrate God’s gift of Children.  They worshipped, shared testimonies and preached.

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.’  Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?’

‘You see the people crowding against you,’ his disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.  Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'” Mark 5:25-34 NIV

Pastors Dale and Jeanne Scholten pray for a young woman in India with a nerve disorder. She leaves the meeting completely healed!

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.  His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’

Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.'”  John 9:1-4 NIV

Pastor Dale shares the good news with our brothers and sisters in India with Pastor Edwin Varghese interpreting. Every struggle that we experience is an opportunity for freedom by God’s grace and power.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”  James 1:27 NIV

New Harvest Ministries International has partnered with Faith in Action Ministries in India for over 30 years. Through your generous support, we are able to help them sustain two orphanages, a home for widows, a day school, and over 100 bore wells that provide fresh water for more than 1,000 people. Pastor David Varghese expresses their sincere appreciation for your sacrificial support.

“But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand.” Acts 4:4 NIV

The deeper the darkness, the brighter the Light shines. Pastor Dale Scholten shares the hope of Jesus with a hungry crowd in Tanzania with Pastor Laban Ndimubenya interpreting.

On April 21, 2018, while Pastors Dale and Jeanne were at the site of the new Covenant of Peace Int’l (COPI) well, a little girl named Nuthipal approached Pastor Jeanne. Nuthipal and her mother were former Hindus converted to Christianity, while her father was still a Hindu. The mother was able to send her daughter to an English only private school, so Nuthipall could speak English clearly. She interpreted for many of the people at the site.

Nuthipal told Pastor Jeanne that her mother had to wake up at 6:00 a.m. each day to “switch the water” from a government-owned well (pump) where the water was only turned on for a short time each day. Sometimes, Nuthipal would have to help her mother before school. The well that COPI provided for her village means that clean, fresh water will be available to them whenever they need it. She wanted to say, “Thank you for building the pump!”

Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, ‘If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.’”  Luke 19:41-44

While in India, Pastor Dale taught pastors at the annual convention about recognizing the signs of revival. Do not miss the season of harvest.

(Pastor John Varghese translating)

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”  Matthew 28:19

On April 22, 2018, Pastors Dale and Jeanne Scholten attended the final day of the annual conference held by Faith in Action Ministries in India. Watch this video to see one of the ways that your support fulfills the Great Commission.

“Jesus answered and said to her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’”  John 4:10

At this dedication ceremony for a new bore well in India, Pastor Dale shared the Gospel.  The villagers accepted the Living Water and lives were made new.
